On May 19, 2024, the MBM2024 Business Innovation Competition for the Master of Science in Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) was successfully held.
The two-year MBM study tour of level 2022 MBMers is coming to an end. As the end of two years of study, the Business Innovation Competition provides a formal reporting stage for students to show their learning achievements, exchange ideas and show their elegant demeanor. This business innovation competition is divided into two tracks: business consulting and innovation and entrepreneurship. Students combine their professional knowledge and practical experience to give full play to their business insight and innovative spirit. Through in-depth analysis of excellent business cases and insight into market changes, inject more forward-looking thinking into the future business development.
Level 2022 MBMers has been carefully prepared for nearly two months after forming a team, selecting topics to the final report and presentation. During the competition, the team of the Business Consulting track focused on their unique ability and insight in solving business challenges and providing effective consulting solutions, while the students of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship track demonstrated their understanding of emerging markets and their commitment to innovative projects.
The judges of the Business Consulting track are Professor Shu Tao, lecturer of the Master of Science in Management Program "Corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions", Mr. Li Tianyu, Managing Director of Guoxin Securities Investment Banking, and Mr. Wang Yu, Executive Director of the Master of Science Program in Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).
The judges of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship track are Professor Niu Hong, lecturer of "Corporate Governance" of the Master of Science in Management Program of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Dr. Pengfei Li, founding partner of Jiangsu Chuang Zhuobang Investment Management Co., Ltd., and Yang Yongbo, alumnus of Grade 2019 of the Master of Science in Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen).
Combined with the wonderful display and defense of each team, the judges made extremely instructive and enlightening comments. Students combine their learning achievements and experiences in MBM in the past two years in a practical way, showing not only their growth and harvest during MBM, but also their proficiency in the application of management theory and their deep understanding of business models, showing a wonderful scene of thinking collision and wisdom exchange. At the same time, each team selected two representatives as public judges, and they also participated in the final comprehensive evaluation.
After multi-dimensional objective and fair scoring, the score difference of the participating teams is only between Bozhong. The "Power full team" won the first prize of the excellent team of the business consulting track for their case study of the marriage between medical equipment giant Mindray and cardiovascular leader Huitai, while the "Wanli Expedition team" won the first prize of the excellent team of the innovative and entrepreneurial track with the project of "electrification upgrading of travel tools".

Each contestant fully demonstrated his outstanding ability and teamwork spirit in this competition. They not only performed well in the competition, but also put a successful end to MBM's two years of study through this process. I believe that level 2022 MBMers will continue to move forward in the future with the harvest and growth of learning in MBM.
