Gelonghui May 16| A bipartisan Senate group led by U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has released a report called the "AI Policy Roadmap."injusticearcadegame, calling on the U.S. Congress to enact legislationinjusticearcadegame, mitigate the potential harm of artificial intelligence and fund research to promote the U.S. economy and national security. The group recommends increasing federal spending on non-defense AI innovation to at least $32 billion a year as soon as possible. The spending will cover a wide range of initiatives, from assisting with the design and manufacture of high-end AI chips to local election initiatives to a series of "AI Big Challenge" programs that encourage innovation.
